Meaningful media for agents of change!
a Two Angry Moms in San Francisco, CA on May 14 hosting review
I’ve been impressed with Two Angry Moms’ indie film model for replication and distribution, as it gnaws at the barriers for participation to set up a ‘no excuses’ marketing model that’s digestible, adaptable and scalable to a wide array of venues. I particularly love that there’s no dinkin’ around with power-whining and shoulder shrugs in ‘what can I possibly do’ fashion, as the movie screening itself becomes an action step!

Here's a full blurb w/action links on ShapingYouth:

And also, a podcast on Childhood Matters.org which is in their archives for access:

As with many documentaries (including America the Beautiful, on our obsession with beauty in the USA) http://www.shapingyouth.org/blog/?p=2099 I think the subject matter of meaningful media is as important as the delivery itself, so whether it's finessed or needs edits, etc. etc. is of less importance to me than the overall take away of using the power of media for positive change!!!

TAM succeeds in imparting grassroots/viral distribution action steps VERY well!

Questions for the host:

Q: Why did you host this screening? What were your goals?
A: The turnout was lousy due to a 'perfect storm' of circumstances (Giants game, competing events/school-parent engagement etc.) but it was a wonderful venue and a great pilot project to learn from...we now are ready to roll using a diff. format without upfront costs/fees to keep it free, etc.

Q: Any ideas on how you can use "Two Angry Moms" in the future?
A: I'll be screening smaller sized groups and more of them vs. one big large venue with high costs...

Q: Any advice for future screening hosts?
A: See above!

The venue, Delancey Street Foundation Screening Room, gets 5 stars
